I have already introduced a couple of extensions and I plan to write more about the extensions I use. There is one problem though. You can't easily uninstall extensions. I can inform you that the Mozilla Firefox 0.9 will have an extension manager which will allow the users to uninstall extensions. But there is still some way to go before 0.9 is released and perhaps you want to get rid of some unwanted extensions now or in the next few weeks until Firefox 0.9 is out.
You can uninstall extensions by hand but I think it is a little difficult. But there is another option. An extension to uninstall extensions :-) You can take a look in the Mozillazine Knowledge Base here where you at the top of the page will find a link to the uninstaller. Just follow the install instructions. When you have installed it and restartet your browser try to go to Tools -> Uninstall Extensions... Yes you can now uninstall your extensions. I think it works pretty good. If you like to try out different extensions it's a great tool. |
